Using experienced teachers we train performers for examinations and performances in Acting and/or Public Speaking.
By developing characterisation, using of the body and voice to communicate and entertain an audience, performers are directed and taught how to become more confident, skilled and experienced in Acting and Communication.
These sessions are taught at a ratio of 1 teacher to 2 performers, in order to prepare them for LAMDA acting examinations, auditions or to work towards a performance.
Twice a year we enter performers for LAMDA (one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding organisations for Acting) examinations. The LAMDA examinations award grades 1-8, and are similar to grades you would expect to gain for a musical instrument or for dancing. These grades are globally recognised qualifications and also can contribute to UCAS university application points (pass with merit at grade 8 is the equivalent points to an A at AS-level).
